Fun Facts about Anne and Jonny

How did you meet?

Anne: The straightforward story is that we met at a Taipei American School (TAS) friends gathering in London for dinner and went to Bounce (ping pong bar) after - though I did not remember talking to Jonny at all. The long k-drama like answer is that we met in 2nd grade in Chinese class (which Jonny does not recall), and have since found our ways back to each other, some would call this destiny 🥹

Who made the first move?

Jonny: I messaged Anne after that TAS gathering in London with the help of my friend Alex Lee.

How long have you been together?

Jonny: It has been 2255 days since October 20, 2018! 🎉

How did he propose?

Anne: There was no surprise to when it was happening, Jonny steamed his blazer the night before for a ‘casual dinner’ with my mom, but left the steamer out in the bathroom, and brought us to Ina Coolbrith park in SF. We were then met by Charlie and Carol (Jonny’s older brother and sister-in-law)! On the grass was a little chest of photos which he wrote notes on the back of each and a bouquet of flowers and that’s when he got down on one knee.

Each other’s most quirky trait?

Anne: Laughing at his own jokes

Jonny: Falling asleep in 2 seconds

Anne: Anything that involves food, exercise, and TV, and ideally lying in bed doing so.

Jonny: Going on trips and traveling together
